Popular business messaging platform Slack faced a major outage, leaving thousands of users unable to connect. Reports of service disruptions began spiking on Down Detector around 9 PM, with 60% of users struggling to connect to the app, 24% facing server issues, and 16% encountering website problems.
Many users received error messages like "We’re having trouble loading your workspace," preventing them from accessing chats, threads, and other collaborative tools. Acknowledging the issue, Slack posted on X, stating that their engineers were actively investigating the cause of the disruption.

"We apologize for the disruption and hope to be back to normal soon. Please check Slack Status for updates. We appreciate your patience while we work on it!" the company stated.
In an update at 10:26 PM, Slack informed users that the outage was affecting workflows, message sending, threads, and API-related features, along with login attempts. The team assured users that they were continuing efforts to restore functionality and would provide further updates as soon as possible.
This outage highlights the platform's crucial role in remote work and team collaboration, with many businesses relying on Slack for daily communication. Users are advised to monitor official channels for real-time updates on service restoration.
